Diane Hall
Diane Hall has been a freelance writer for many years, producing successful marketing and web copy, commercial poetry, newsletters and articles for her clients. Although she always wanted to write fiction, it was only in August 2009 that she found the time, motivation and confidence to pursue her dream. Starting out with short stories, she quickly won two writing competitions with Jessica’s Wish and The Good Life, both of which are included on this site.
Diane then wrote her first novel – Son of the Ringmaster – for the age group 8-12 years. SOTR is the first in a five series and features an inter-dimensional circus that weaves its way through different lands and worlds enjoying humorous and perilous adventures in each. The hero of the story, Sam Clamcorn, is hugely likeable but extremely reluctant at the prospect of having to kill his adversary – not least because it’s his newly-found uncle. Diane lives in West Yorkshire, UK, with her husband, two daughters aged eleven and seven and their Border Terrier, Scamp. She runs her own proofreading and copywriting business as well as enjoying other entrepreneurial interests.
